More Cookies!!

December 28, 2010

A friend of mine is putting together a book of cookie recipes and asked me to photograph some of the “subjects.”  Working out the fee for a shoot like this is pretty much a no brainer.  Mmm!

Schuljak Portraits

December 21, 2010

The Schuljak family called me a week ago looking for some last minute Christmas portraits taken on Mt. Washington overlooking the Pittsburgh skyline.  Flying in from Texas, the family was only going to be in Pittsburgh for a few days so there weren’t many options when it came to opportunities to shoot.  We picked a day and prayed the weather would cooperate.  Well, as you will see, the whether didn’t exactly cooperate, but I think it made the portraits that much more eye catching.  What do you think?

I had the pleasure of shooting the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies’ Veterans’ Day Service last week.  This sacred space, located just south of Pittsburgh, is especially important to me not only because of the patriots who rest here, but because my own grandfather was buried in this cemetery.  It was an absolutely beautiful day and a fantastic service.  Congratulations to my friend and colleague Jon Meier for putting together such a reverent and special service honoring all who have sacrificially served our nation.  To view the entire gallery, click here.
