December 28, 2010A friend of mine is putting together a book of cookie recipes and asked me to photograph some of the “subjects.” Working out the fee for a shoot like this is pretty much a no brainer. Mmm!

I had the pleasure of shooting the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies’ Veterans’ Day Service last week. This sacred space, located just south of Pittsburgh, is especially important to me not only because of the patriots who rest here, but because my own grandfather was buried in this cemetery. It was an absolutely beautiful day and a fantastic service. Congratulations to my friend and colleague Jon Meier for putting together such a reverent and special service honoring all who have sacrificially served our nation. mmmm…cookies!
October 20, 2010A friend asked me to photograph some of his mom’s famous cookies for a book of recipes he’s putting together. Never in my photographic journey have I been tempted to eat the subjects of my photography. I’m sure you can see why.
