Focused On the Desert?

September 27, 2011

Until some time early next year I am deployed to the desert as part of my service as a Chaplain in the U.S. Air Force.  I desperately miss the people, places, and things of Pittsburgh, but as they say “distance makes the heart grow fonder.”  Even though I’m away from my favorite photographic subject, I continue to work on my photography.  If you would like to see just a small glimpse at what I’m shooting until my return to the Steel City click here.  I appreciate all the support and look forward to getting back home to continue the work of Focused on the Point Photography.

We’ve come to look forward to the annual Brighton Heights Chocolate House Tour.  This year’s tour centered around the Shadeland Avenue neighborhood and included eight homes with a wide variety of features, history, and owners.  Below is a handful of images of interesting finds during the tour.  Enjoy!

It’s been far too long since some “Pittsburgh” images have been uploaded.  Well now that I think it’s safe to say that the snow is done and the ice is officially melted I can assure you I’ll be out and about this great city exploring for some new great photographs to share.  Here are a few from my annual attendance at the Pirates Home Opener.  It was a beautiful day for a game.  Just a shame we lost so badly.  I have a feeling this team will do something special, though.  This may be the team that changes the tide for Pirates baseball.  We shall see…  Either way, it’s good to be back at the ballpark.  Let’s Go Bucs!

More Cookies!!

December 28, 2010

A friend of mine is putting together a book of cookie recipes and asked me to photograph some of the “subjects.”  Working out the fee for a shoot like this is pretty much a no brainer.  Mmm!
