Focused on the Point is the photographic gallery/blog of Tom Fodi; a man with a passion for photography and Pittsburgh. Whether it's a stunning view of the Pittsburgh skyline, something that catches my eye as I explore this great city, a significant event, or just a relatively interesting image, Focused on the Point serves as the outlet by which I can share what my eye and camera lens see.

Focused On the Desert?

Until some time early next year I am deployed to the desert as part of my service as a Chaplain in the U.S. Air Force. I desperately miss the people, places, and things of Pittsburgh, but as they say “distance makes the heart grow fonder.” Even though I’m away from my favorite photographic subject, I continue to work on my photography. Brighton Heights Chocolate House Tour, June 2011

We’ve come to look forward to the annual Brighton Heights Chocolate House Tour. This year’s tour centered around the Shadeland Avenue neighborhood and included eight homes with a wide variety of features, history, and owners. Pirates 2011 Home Opener! Lets Go Bucs!

It’s been far too long since some “Pittsburgh” images have been uploaded. Well now that I think it’s safe to say that the snow is done and the ice is officially melted I can assure you I’ll be out and about this great city exploring for some new great photographs to share. Here are a few from my annual attendance at the Pirates Home Opener. It was a beautiful day for a game. Just a shame we lost so badly. I have a feeling this team will do something special, though. This may be the team that changes the tide for Pirates baseball. We shall see… Either way, it’s good to be back at the ballpark. Let’s Go Bucs!
