Focused on the Point is the photographic gallery/blog of Tom Fodi; a man with a passion for photography and Pittsburgh. Whether it's a stunning view of the Pittsburgh skyline, something that catches my eye as I explore this great city, a significant event, or just a relatively interesting image, Focused on the Point serves as the outlet by which I can share what my eye and camera lens see.

If a particular image catches your eye and you'd like to purchase a print, if there's a particular image you're searching for and don't see it here, or if you have an event or some portraits you'd like photographed please contact me at tom@focusedonthepoint.com. Adam and Lindsey’s Wedding, April 2011

Erin and I were blessed to be a part of Adam and Lindsey’s incredible wedding weekend extravaganza in Cook Forest, PA. It’s one thing to photograph a wedding, it’s a completely different experience to photograph an entire weekend destination wedding in one of the most beautiful corners of Pennsylvania. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of it. Adam and Lindsey are an amazing couple and if you’re in the Pittsburgh area I encourage you to get to know them by stopping by the Acoustic Moose Cafe in Bellevue (their cafe and my second office!).

Beautiful setting + Beautiful people = one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve ever been a part of.

Veterans’ Day Service, National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 11 November 2010

I had the pleasure of shooting the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies’ Veterans’ Day Service last week. This sacred space, located just south of Pittsburgh, is especially important to me not only because of the patriots who rest here, but because my own grandfather was buried in this cemetery. It was an absolutely beautiful day and a fantastic service. Congratulations to my friend and colleague Jon Meier for putting together such a reverent and special service honoring all who have sacrificially served our nation. Improve the Vue

I enjoy photographing pretty much anything, but there’s nothing like photographing people voluntarily working to improve their community. Hundreds came out to Bellevue’s “Improve the Vue.” Sadly I was only able to stick around for a few hours, but here’s a sample of the shots I was able to capture in the little bit of time I was able to be there.

Long Time No Posts

I realize how long it’s been since I last posted some new Pittsburgh-related images, but I wanted to let it be known that the lack of posts has not been due to lack of work. I have a number of projects I’ve been working on (some FOTP related, some from my “real jobs”..yes, I said jobs).
